Germantown Residence
This house was a real treasure to work on! It desperately needed a complete renovation after years of neglect and vacancy. A two-year timeline found DCH Contractors pulling down the rear half of the building, plus an old addition and selective interiors.
Many historic details were still intact and saved with the intention of keeping the original character of the home. A new addition was built on the original foundations to accommodate a new kitchen with modern amenities, laundry and powder room on the first floor and a new master dressing room with large bathroom on the second floor; creating a new well-appointed master suite. New landscaping, restoring the original brick sidewalk and filling in the missing iron fence created a private escape in the Northwestern section of Philadelphia.
Built in 1873, renovated 2017-2019.
